Christmas Star Brooch or Hat Pin 18 K Gold Plated
$25.00
The Christmas Star Brooch, use it on vest, Santa’s hat or Mrs. Claus dress or cape. This stunning, slightly asymetric jewelry design is reminiscent of the beauty captured during the art deco period, but is modern enough to wear today, everyday. At 3-inches tall and 2.125-inches wide, it is substantial enough to show up in photos and when performing for large groups, yet delicate enough for admiring it from close by. A perfect statement about the real reason for the season, the birth of the Christ child, Jesus, but for Santas who are more secular, this design has a second name, the North Star — the lead guide for Santa to find his way home to the North Pole. Santa Chuck Moore –
Love this. Looks great. I opted for this pin for my Santa hat instead of a wreath or holly or poinsettia. For me, it provides a prop/in for the true meaning of Christmas, representing the Star of Bethlehem. I wear it on the left side so that it points down to my heart. Off season I have also worn it on my suit coat, on the left side, same reason. The rhinestones provide a nice sparkle. The gold contracts against the hat fur well enough. It also brings some people in closer to see what the shiny thing is, makes for an excuse for closer interaction.
The clasp latch is a little loose on mine (4.8 stars) so I have to use a little rubber cement on it to make sure it stays closed, but the cement can be easily removed to allow removal of the pin. The pin has fallen off my hat and off the lapel without the dab of adhesive.
