Kinda puts parents on the spot for extra. Not really fair at all

I never just give the card to a child with out the parent being present. Then I hand the card to the child and I say so the parent hears this. The important part is if you leave this with the cookies and milk I will bring you an extra gift. That way there is NO SURPRISE to the parent.
Santa Bob –
I tell the child in front of the parents that if they are nice I will bring them a special gift just for them. I never say an extra gift. I have had children fall to the floor with excitement.
